Let them look. They'll only find out we're being honest. And if they can't handle honesty and good old fashioned discussion...
*sigh* But as I was quoted the other "There's two sides to truth - yours and theres."
*edit* Keerist, I see what you mean. Another thread "pruned". Can't for the life of me remember what it was titled now (duh), but I do remember making some stupid remark (probably not all that intelligent) about being treated like Trolls...but that's now gone.
This is sad. I'm really really sad that it's come to this, it's got so low. Why can't they just be honest with us - we're honest with them.
Communicate dammit! Don't make us out to be some sort of satanists by making us dance to your tune, when we don't even know what that tune is!

Interesting quote Amanda
You know I'm just tired, so very very tired. What is their truth? Unless you adore, worship and blindy agree with everything and NEVER question them you fit in? Sorry I am human not a robot.
Terry about the song Mickey..I tried to tell you that a junior class did it at the girls dance concert last year complete with pigtails and pom poms, they were amazing and cute!

Dont Worry Barb I think we can safely assume we are cyber stalked. I never knew a Darren Hayes fan board would worry them so much.
This is NOT I quote "NOT" the anti board folks. Its a fan board for a group of likeminded fans to have a chat following our guidelines. We are openiminded, honest, passionate group of fans. But I guess in your world thats inappropriate.

Come on, anyone else wanna say it? Ok, I will...
I guess it's because we're not unofficially official.

Oh man awesome, my last thread got deleted as well, despite my attempts to be discreet in my amusement over the whole thing LOL I honestly was not trying to post things that would get deleted, i guess my own mod habits on the Sony board have warped me because if this had happened on the Sony board, Laurie and i would have just answered the question and gone on with life. I guess we're just weirdos! LOL
I even tried to learn from my mistakes by going the private route with my questions and i was given a *decidely* cold shoulder *wry chuckle* Guess i'm really on the blacklist now! LOL

A couple of summers ago a friend and I discovered the 'thoughts' board at specificus.com. At that time, no one ever used it but we thought it had possibilities. We had a great time for several weeks posting, then laughing with each other as we later compared notes to guess which posts were we had made ("was that YOU?? I thought it was someone else.") and which were from other people. Over time, more and more people began stopping by. I knew that my friend and I had "created" a buzz when someone posted to ask why the 'thoughts' board was so interesting and busy when the message board wasn't.
The problem was that around that time, someone posted that hate post about Leonie on the Anti board and I made a "Dyan classic" type mistake by going to the Specificus board to explain that it wasn't what most of us at the Anti board had supported ........ and I was ripped to shreds by the "positive" people over there. It took a couple of days for things to sink in, but it finally did.
I was spending my time and creative energy to benefit people who, in truth, would rather that I crawled in a hole and died. Yes, I was having fun. But no one other than my friend knew it was me, so there wasn't a personal benefit of meeting other people or being able to mend fences with others on neutral tuff. Robert and Matt were benefitting from having an active and interesting fan base, which in turns attracts new people who will also take time to listen to music they might not otherwise hear. Even the fans at that site benefitted by partaking in the fun that my friend and I had created.
Yes, there is a point to this story. LOL If you are enjoying being at the public fan club board, then be there and I fully support your decision. BUT at some point it's possible that what you are giving them by way of keeping that board alive and interesting may outweigh what you are getting in return.
Personally, I have decided in life that I will sit on my ass watching Survivor re-runs (as an example of a totally pointless activity) before I give one more minute of my time, creativity and energy to anyone (whether it be a job, a friend or a group of people) who cannot give me what I am worth in return.
You guys are worth far more than what you've gotten on that board.

Thank you Dyan
I'm not aware why posts can't be deleted by the poster, I'll ask the other mods who've been around a lot longer than me. The only thing I mainly have done as a mod is deleted double posts, lol. But then that makes it easy

I agree with you Dyan this board it worth many of those.
Reality seems to happen here and its a shame if that board can't accept life without rose coloured glasses.
